CHRISTIAN SIRIANO, ALICE + OLIVIA, ABAETE for PAYLESS

Christian Siriano & Abaete for PaylessCHRISTIAN SIRIANO & ABAETE for PAYLESS

If you’ve been wondering if Project Runway’s most recent winner Christian Siriano’s designs for Payless would be a hot tranny mess, the moment has arrived to check them out.  Christian is hands down my favorite PR winner, and in my opinion “Most Likely To Succeed.”  I was a little surprised that one of his first outings was a partnership with Payless, but the results are kinda fierce.  The booties are totally on trend, and the teal “lizard” print is a a unique print and hot for Fall.  The clutch with rocker hardware is great for a night out or even to keep inside a larger tote.  I’m especially loving the chain embellished Saunter Flat.  I intend to shimmy over to Payless today and check them out.

Payless is also currently featuring on trend partnerships with other big name designers: Abaete and Alice + Olivia.  Check out the chain draped Antoine Bootie by Abaete in either black or gray suede – supes cute.  I’m also loving all of the Alice + Olivia boots.  The Robertson Jeweled Boot could be the frugal choice for evening looks for the rest of the season.  I’m also intrigued by the drama of the Rivoli Fan Clutch.

Note, I haven’t tried on any of these shoes & booties, so I can’t vouch for their comfort, but they all get an A for Fierceness.

FALL FASHION – IT’S HERE! WHAT I’M SHOPPING FOR RIGHT NOW

Fall Fashion - Bebe, Modcloth.com, Urban Outfitters, ExpressLeatherette Washed Moto Jacket $69 on sale, Sula Paint & Peel Nail Polish $9 Ulta Cosmetics, Poppie Jones Milla Zippered Clutch $29.95 on sale DSW, Jeffrey Campbell Slipstream Wedges $129 at ModCloth.com, Deena & Ozzy Chain Tote $58 at Urban Outfitters, Tiers to You Dress $59.99 at ModCloth.com, Editor Luxury Stretch Chocolate Plaid Pant $79.50 at Express.

Early fall has me craving neutrals like putty gray that are an alternative to black.  Bebe has leatherette bomber jackets in a slew of colors including dove gray.  For nails, this Paint & Peel Sula polish has revolutionized my home manicures – it doesn’t chip and when I tire of it, I simply peel it off in one tear – no nail polish remover!  Clutches with hardware are still super chic – zipper details are hot.  My love affair with Jeffrey Campbell shoes and boots continues they offer style and comfort at unbelievable price points.  Every woman needs an every day tote – this two toned bag is fab with chain and zipper details and for $58 will hold mags, shoes, and so much more.  Recently I’ve been browsing Modcloth.com and loving their selection of super stylish dresses for all occasions – I’m all over this tiered ruffled dress in steel gray, it’ll go with any accessory palette I have a whim for.  I worship the Express Editor pant, love the fit, this brown/gray plaid will be the perfect work meets fun pant and will go with a ton of top options.

I’ll freak out if I don’t have a perfect dark rinse skinny jean with a bit of spandex in the fabric blend for tucking into tall calf high and over the knee boots (boots post coming soon!)  This super embellished French Connection dress is a splurge for the season – the beading work is whimsical and retro.  I’m planning on wearing this early fall bare legs with skyscraper black platforms; later in the year, I’ll wear it with tights.  One of my favorite day looks is a sheath dress with an open cardigan and a funky wide belt – I heart this poof sleeve cardigan from Anthropologie with this Urban Outfitters tiger chain belt.  My favorite fall fabric plaid goes Mad Men – I’m wearing this now with peep toe pumps and later with knee high wedge boots.

Coming soon more on: skinny jeans, plaid, leopard print, shirt dresses, jackets, boots and accessories…

Fall’s here, and I’m shopping!
